Hi,
After setting a render on "NIMBY" for a day and then "Set Free & Unpause", the rendering has been using low CPU. Ususally it was around 100% and now it doesn't get above 10%.
Looking at all the configs and options I have no idea how to fix this. My next step is to uninstall and reinstall afrender.
I'm running on a Centos 7.
Thank you,
Wassim
Render uses only 10% of CPU
Re: Render uses only 10% of CPU
Hi.
Afrender does not control and limit CPU usage of its child process (task command), it event can't to do it.
So, there is no config parameter(s) for it.
If you want to test (debug) task process, you can launch command (that afrender launches) manually.
You can just get it from GUI and copy&paste in a terminal.
If some kind of work can't use all available CPUs, you can configure afrender to run several task at the same time.
Read docs about task and afrender capacity.

Hi,
I don't exactly know how and when it happened but the issue was with the blender user preference config. I had to reload the initial preferences and load them again for it to be solved.
I wasn't even able to reproduce it but it's fixed.
Thank you again,
Wassim
